Last Thursday Macquarie 2100 held their “Hand-over Lunch” meeting at Trangie.
Most of the 12 strong committee were in attendance along with guests Susan Madden from MRFF, and Danielle Littlewood from CWCMA to witness the “Handing Over of the Batten” from outgoing Executive Officer Kirsty Wettenhall to her newly appointed replacement in John Ryan. Chairman Col Hamilton thanked Kirsty for her efforts and achievements during her six years in the position. He said “Kirsty should be very proud of the great speakers and projects undertaken while she has been at the helm.” Kirsty was presented with a beautiful jade urn for her garden at “Weemabah” as a mark of appreciation. “We also welcome John Ryan to the position of EO and look forward to working with him. He brings with him some great ideas and enthusiasm for the future,” he said. One of the many items discussed at the committee meeting was M2100’s new look Website and Facebook, which, along with regular columns in the paper, will help keep the community informed of up-coming projects and events that may be of interest.
